Emilia Clarke has revealed a new film that will co-star in the sci-fi romantic comedy “The Pod Generation” with Chiwetel Umeadi Ejiofor (“12 Years a Slave”).
“The Pod Generation” will be directed by Sophie Barthes (“Madame Bovary”), and the story is set in the future where artificial intelligence is popular.
Rachel and Alvy, a pair of New York lovers, are preparing to take their relationship further and start a family.
Because of Rachel’s work, the two were able to experience a new technology.
This technology can allow men and women to participate in pregnancy and childbirth more equally through artificial uterus, and the two also started a period of adventure.
Speaking of the film’s novel science fiction concept, director Barthes said: Is “artificial womb” liberating or doomsday for women? This is the topic the movie will explore.
She was full of praise for the two actors: “Emilia’s diversity, her comedic talent, and ability to handle complex emotions are a perfect match for Chiwetel’s personality charm.”
According to the plan, “The Pod Generation” will start shooting in March 2022.
