After the successful start of the reboot “The Crow” in the Czech Republic, the crew has revealed a brand new location. It is reported that in addition to Prague, the film will also be set in Munich. The specific shooting location is the 14th district, 30 kilometers west of Munich.
The Munich location was previously an air force base, which was later converted into a film shooting location. From such a location, the new version of ‘The Crow’ may have a different visual style.
Starring Bill Skarsgård and FKA Twigs, the film is directed by Rupert Sanders (“Ghost in the Shell” “Snow White and the Huntsman”) and written by Zach Baylin (“King Richard”).
The film’s preparation process of more than 10 years, adapted from James O’Barr’s comic book series, the 1994 version was originally tailored for Bruce Lee’s son Brandon Lee’s fame, but the set of the tragedy of a blanks into real bullets, so Brandon Lee was killed. This has become one of the most bizarre events in film history.
The film tells the story of a rock musician and his fiancée who is murdered by a street hoodlum and returns from the grave a year later to exact revenge. Everywhere he goes, a crow follows him.
The film has a neo-noir style, with most scenes taking place at night or in the rain, and the portrayal of the modern city is full of despair.
According to previous information, this ‘The Crow’ will be more faithful to James O’Barr’s original comic book than the 1994 Alex Proyas film ‘The Crow’. As things stand, Sony is in desperate need of a film that can stand up in pop culture circles.
At present, the film is not scheduled for the time being.
