Starring Robert Pattinson, Toni Collette, Mark Ruffalo, Naomi Ackie and directed by Bong Joon ho, the untitled new sci-fi film has begun pre-production at Warners London’s Leavesden Studios and will start filming in the summer.
The film is adapted from the novel “Mickey7” by Edward Ashton. The style is described as “The Martian” + “Dark Matter”, which tells the story of a man Mickey7 who embarks on a colonial journey to the frozen land of Niflheim.
He is a sacrificial “consumable” hired for high-stakes tasks, and when he dies, he respawns as a clone with most of his memories preserved.
This time he was also deemed dead, and he returned to the mission base to find a new clone, Mickey8, taking his place, and Mickey7 decided to rebel.
The story of the film is currently unknown and may be different from the novel. The script is also written by Bong Joon ho.
