A24’s ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ was the phenomenal film of the year, and the film is currently A24’s most profitable film. The festering word of mouth, countless positive reviews, and decent box office have pushed the issue of a sequel to the film’s directors, Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert.
However, fans of the film may be disappointed. As a concept first, the success of the film is very accidental, ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ may not have a sequel.
Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert said not to expect too much from ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once 2’, or at least not to be in too much of a hurry, or not within that universe.
Thus, it seems likely that Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert will not start the sequel.
Everything Everywhere All at Once’ tells the story of a middle-aged woman who is sucked into a multitude of parallel universes and eventually discovers that these different but parallel selves are connected by destiny. And the fate of these multiple selves is now in the hands of “her”.
