Kevin Costner as director of the new film ‘Horizon’ has again revealed the news of the cast to join. American actor Thomas Haden Church, will join the shooting of the film. He will play opposite Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington and Jamie Campbell Bower, among others.
‘Horizon’ takes place in the American West and tells the story of a group of pioneers who travel across the entire United States, escaping war and various dangers in the hope of finding a better life and habitat.
It is understood that the film’s story will span 15 years and is an uncompromising western epic.
And this is Costner’s fourth directorial effort, the director’s first since 2003’s ‘Open Range’. In addition, he will play the male lead in the film.
In 1990, Kevin Costner made his directorial and producing debut with the epic ‘Dances with Wolves’ and played the male lead role of Lieutenant Dunbar.
The film demonstrates Kevin’s outstanding ability. The film was nominated for a total of twelve Academy Awards and ultimately won seven.
At present, ‘Horizon’ is tentatively scheduled to start shooting in Utah on August 29th this year. The media hopes that this will be a film comparable to ‘Dances with Wolves’.
