Starring Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne Netflix thriller ‘The Good Nurse’ released stills, it will be online in the fall.
The Good Nurse’ focuses on a real person – Charlie Cullen, the famous American “Angel of Death” and murderous nurse.
A carer and father, Cullen was gentle and kind on the outside, but killed as many as 300 patients until his arrest in 2003.
He worked at various medical facilities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, quietly killing patients by, among other things, injecting them with lethal drugs.Cullen escaped the attention of medical facilities for a period of time, or made it impossible for them to determine that he was involved in the deaths of patients and had to fire him rather than take him to court.
Cullen claimed the move was to end the suffering of the sick, but many non-terminal patients have also died at his hands.
The film ran for several years, with Tobias Lindholm (‘The Alcohol Project’) making his English-language directorial debut, Krysty Wilson-Cairns (‘1917’ ‘Penny Dreadful’) writing the script, and Nnamdi Asomugha (‘Fire with Fire ”Leverage”) and others starred.
Redmayne as Cullen, two murder detectives caught Cullen through persistent investigation and the help of another caregiver, Chastain as the nurse who helped the police.
In order to take down the serial killer, her job and the lives of her family are threatened, and Asomugha plays one of the detectives.
