Tolkien, the acclaimed author and creator of Middle-earth, has announced that his new book ‘The Fall of Númenor’ will be officially released this November, focusing on the Second Age of Middle-earth, the era in which the upcoming new series ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ is set.
Although J. R. R. Tolkien died in 1973, he had already written most of the book during his lifetime. This publication was edited over the years by his son Christopher Tolkien, and today the book is edited by Brian Sibley, with a cover and illustrations by Alan Lee.
Numenoreans are the ancestors of Aragorn II, one of the protagonists of ‘The Lord of the Rings’, who came from the island kingdom of Númenor, and the invasion of this kingdom by Roronoa Zoro is also quite an important story of the Second Age.
