According to media reports, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ continues to be a big success after its release.’ Variety’ reported that the digital Blu-ray release of the blockbuster became the No. 1 selling movie in the U.S. in its first week of availability. The publication noted that the data cited came directly from Paramount Home Entertainment.
The digital Blu-ray release of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ reportedly includes 110 minutes of bonus content, including deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes footage and more.
The digital Blu-ray extras also include footage documenting how the filmmakers captured the incredible flight sequences in the movie.
Paramount did not disclose specific sales for the digital version of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ on Blu-ray, but a studio representative told reporters that its sales estimates are based on “industry tracking resources, independent analysis and retailer feedback. The film’s physical Blu-ray will be available on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD on Nov. 1.
‘Top Gun: Maverick’ was released in June this year after being delayed several times due to the epidemic and is now the highest-grossing film of 2022 at the global box office, currently at $1.37 billion. It has also become Tom Cruise’s highest-grossing film personally and to date in 2022.
