This is the best opening score of Tom Cruise’s 40-year actor career, and it is also the first time that it has exceeded 100 million (the original record was 64 million in “War of the Worlds” in 2005). CinemaScore audience rating A+.
“Top Gun: Maverick” is expected to earn an estimated $151 million over four days in Northern America’s first week, making it the best opening in Memorial Week film history.

It received 124 million for the week in 62 markets outside Northern America, for a global total of 248 million.
