The Cannes Film Festival, one of the world’s three major film festivals, recently confirmed that the action blockbuster “Top Gun: Maverick” starring Tom Cruise will premiere in Cannes on May 18.
May 18 is also the 30th anniversary of the film “Far and Away” starring Tom Cruise in Cannes. This Cannes Film Festival is also the only time Tom Cruise has attended the Cannes Film Festival.

“Top Gun: Maverick” will premiere in France on May 25 and hit U.S. theaters on the 27th. Cannes will also pay a special tribute to Tom Cruise’s career this year.
