The game adaptation of the action comedy series “Twisted Metal” Season 1 announced the end of filming and is scheduled to air in the second half of next year.
Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Neve Campbell, Thomas Haden Church and others star, with Will Arnett voicing the villain Sweet Tooth.
Set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, ‘Twisted Metal’ stars Mackie as John Doe, a milkman with no memory of his past, a smooth talker and a fast car.
Sometime he gets a chance to live a better life – transporting a mysterious package into the wasteland of a post-apocalyptic world.
En route he establishes an adversarial relationship with the fierce and belligerent car thief Quiet (Beatriz), and the two face various threats along the way: the savage Marauders and the mentally disturbed Joker (Arnett) who drives an ice cream truck.
Produced by Sony Television and PlayStation Production, the show was picked up by streaming platform Peacock, inspired by ‘Deadpool’ ‘Zombieland’ co-writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick, Michael Jonathan Smith (‘Cobra Kai’) as writer and executive producer, Mackie also Executive production, Kitao Sakurai (‘Bad Trip”’Aardvark’) directed several episodes.
