Universal’s new monster film “Renfield” starring Nicholas Hoult, Nicolas Cage, and Awkwafina is set for release in North America on April 14 next year.
Nicholas Hoult plays the title character Renfield and Nicolas Cage plays the vampire Dracula.
In Bram Stoker’s original “Dracula” novel, Renfield is an inmate in a mental hospital who is thought to be paranoid, but is actually Dracula’s servant.

The image has appeared in several films, including 1992’s “Dracula” with Tom Waits as Renfield.
“Renfield” is directed by Chris McKay (“The Tomorrow War” “The Lego Movie” “The Lego Batman Movie”), with ideas from Robert Kirkman (“The Walking Dead”) and written by Ryan Ridley (“Rick and Morty”). The background will be set in Modern.
