The official trailer for ‘Vampire Academy’ , the series based on the best-selling novel, has been released, and the creators of ‘The Vampire Diaries’, ‘Dracula: The Original Living Vampire’, and ‘Legacies’ Julie Plec is back to be a vampire.
‘Vampire Academy’ follows two young women, a pair of best friends, as they face difficult choices. With winds rising within the royal family and rebellion brewing in the world of the night, “a story of love, friendship, death, sex and chou rumors”: “In a world of privilege and glory, two young women in very different walks of life develop a friendship. The two are about to complete their education and enter the society of royal vampires.”
The series, created by Plec in collaboration with Marguerite MacIntyre (‘Legacies’) and starring Sisi Stringer and Daniela Nieves, goes live on streaming Peacock on September 15.
The ‘Vampire Academy’ set of six books, created by Michael Ende, was also released in 2014 as a movie version.
