In the operation of a “Voltron” live-action film, many Hollywood companies participated in the bidding, including Warner, Universal, Amazon, etc.
Rawson Marshall Thurber (“Red Notice”) directed and wrote the screenplay with Ellen Shanman and produced Todd Lieberman & David Berman (“Wonder”) and Bob Koplar of “Voltron” rights company World Events Productions.
“Voltron” was based on the Japanese animations “Beast King GoLion” and “Dairugger XV”, and later developed into a separate series “Voltron: Defender of the Universe”, which aired in the 1980s.
The protagonists of the story are five pilots who drive five robot lions, black, red, yellow, green and blue respectively. After the five lions fit together, they can become huge robots.
Led by Princess Farah, the heroes launched a counterattack against the evil kingdom of Gala.
