‘It’ will make a prequel series ‘Welcome To Derry’ and HBO Max has officially given the green light to the show to expand the world penned by Stephen King.
The show is set in the 1960s and involves the origin story of Pennywise the Clown.
Developed by film creators Andrés Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs, with Fuchs serving as writer and co-runner and Andrés Muschietti directing multiple episodes.
The 2017 film ‘It’ is set in 1989, the town of Derry has a spate of missing children, the shadow of terror, a group of children to explore the truth, they found that every 27 years the evil devil clown will appear, sucking the life energy of children.
The 2019 sequel follows the grown-up ‘The Losers’ Club’ as they battle the Joker again, with the two films accumulating over $1.1 billion at the global box office.
