“Spider-Man: No Way Home” is a big movie, and like any big production, it takes hundreds of people to make it.
In addition to the most important starring roles, the group performances and stand-ins of the crew are also indispensable.
Recently, Andrew Garfield’s stuntman Omar Zaki revealed on ins that he had participated in a remake involving Tobey Maguire, Tom Holland and Benedict Cumberbatch.
“First of all, I’m very grateful for this rare opportunity (as shown in the video), which I don’t take for granted, but I also want to confirm that I’m really involved in this film.”

“They needed to remake some simple scenes from the movie, but Ann Andrew Garfield and one of his regular stunt doubles (William Spencer) weren’t available either.”
“The stunt coordinator called me because I was the same size as Andrew and he thought I could fit in that uniform (spoiler, he was right).”
“He explained to me that there was no need for stunts this time, they were mainly about having someone as the character in the scene and possibly doing some simple actions (not stunts) when they did.”
“So I was hired to help reshoot two scenes over the course of two days.”
But of those scenes, only one shot ends up in the main feature of the movie.
“Scene 1: Small conversation with Benedict, Tom Holland, Tobey (mostly Tom Holland and Benedict talking), I’m not on camera (because I’m not Andrew).”
“Second scene: an actual scene cut from the feature film.”
At present, this ins of Omar has been deleted.
Not sure what the remake scene he’s talking about is? Maybe we’ll know when “Spider-Man: No Way Home” goes live on February 28th!
