Recently, Sony Pictures announced that the late singer Whitney Houston’s biopic “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” will be released in North America on December 23, 2022.
“I Wanna Dance with Somebody” is directed by Kasi Lemmons (“Talk to Me”), and Anthony McCarten (“Bohemian Rhapsody”) writes the script and serves as the producer.
Naomi Ackie, who played in “Star Wars 9”, played the legendary singer Whitney Houston, and Moses Ingram (“The Queen’s Gambit”) played Houston’s long-term assistant and creative director Robyn Crawford.
After Houston’s death, Crawford revealed in the book that the two were lovers.
“I Wanna Dance with Somebody” was approved by Whitney Houston’s Heritage Committee.
The film is described as “a joyful, emotional and heartbreaking tribute to the life and music of the greatest R&B female singer in history, depicting her journey from obscurity to superstar”.
Whitney Houston was born in 1963. She is world-renowned for her song “I Will Always Love You”. She has won 6 Grammy Awards. She has a profound influence on the American music scene and is known as “Voice of America” and “American The first voice”.
In 2012, Whitney Houston passed away suddenly, at the age of 48, which made the entire music industry painful.
