After “Logan” in 2017, Hugh Jackman no longer plays Wolverine. Many fans are wondering who will be the next actor to play Wolverine.
According to “Kingsman” and “X-Men: First Class” director Matthew Vaughn, Taron Egerton and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are his two candidates.
Matthew Vaughn recently accepted an interview with ComicBook. He talked about who the next Wolverine is: “I think Taron Egerton can do it well, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson can do it too. I think they all fit the image of Wolverine. And they are all great.”
These two names are not unfamiliar.
Taron Egerton’s most famous role is the male protagonist Eggsy in Vaughn’s spy movie Kingsman.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson wore green and yellow clothes in Vaughn’s action comedy movie “Kick Ass.”
Although they don’t seem to be the first choice of “Wolverine” fans, the two actors later appeared in many acclaimed works, showing their performance level.
After Hugh Jackman played this role for 17 years, his career determined him to become one of Marvel’s most popular heroes.
Although Vaughn has been busy with the work of the “Kingsman” series, the possibility of him returning to the Marvel Universe to cooperate with the X-Men is not yet ruled out.
Marvel fans can also watch the recently released “Hawkeye” series and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in the near future.
