Zazie Beetz is in talks to return to the new DC film ‘Joker 2’ to continue playing the role of Sophie Dumond, a struggling single mother who was Arthur the Joker’s neighbor in the previous film.
The film is a follow-up to the 2019 hit ‘Joker’, with Joaquin Phoenix returning as the Joker, Lady Gaga newly joining the cast, expected to play Harleen Quinzel, and Todd Phillips returning to direct & write the screenplay, a musical film titled ‘Joker: Folie à Deux ‘.
‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ will begin shooting this December for a Northern America release on October 4, 2024.
