Luca Guadagnino (‘Call Me by Your Name’ ‘Suspiria’) is directing the new tennis-themed film ‘Challenger’, which will finish shooting in two weeks and is expected to be released in 2023.
‘Challenger’ stars Zendaya as the female lead in a story about a love-hate relationship between several tennis players.
Tashi, the heroine, moves from being a tennis player turned coach, and she trains her husband Art from a mediocre ball player to a well-known world champion.
When Art was out of shape for a lower level challenge, Tashi’s ex-boyfriend Murphy Patrick Murphy became his opponent ……
