The British youth comedy “Heartstopper” is about love and friendship at a school for teens with multiple sexual orientations. It tells the story of Charlie, an introverted gay boy who was forced to come out, and Nick, a rugby player, who sit together for class and become friends.
This friendship gradually deepened between the two as they got along, and Charlie was restraining himself from liking Nick. He felt that he couldn’t like a straight man, but is that really the case?
In 2016, “Die Mitte der Welt” depicts the courage of young men and women to accept reality, and their own vulnerability and sincerity. Even if they don’t get each other, it does not mean that a life should end.

In 2021, “The Man with the Answers” is an interesting encounter between two men who happened to meet each other on a road trip.
“Heartstopper” is different from some stories about homosexuality’s bitterness, self-pity, and traditional tragedy. It brings warmth and positiveness and sees the support and acceptance of the two protagonists’ families and friends. The beautiful vision of the age of love and diversity, and the precious and sincere love that can be enjoyed regardless of your gender, skin color and sexual orientation.
