Disney’s new animated film “Strange World” first revealed the trailer and poster, open the otherworldly adventure. The film will be released in Northern America on November 23rd.
Don Hall revealed that the film is a tribute to the first half of the 20th century “vulgar magazines / pulp magazines”, those books published in “a group of adventurers found a hidden world or ancient creatures” popular fiction is his childhood love.
“Strange World” is co-directed by Don Hall (“Big Hero 6”) and Qui Nguyen (writer of “Raya and The Last Dragon”), written by Qui Nguyen and featuring the voices of Jake Gyllenhaal. The story follows the legendary explorer Clade.
The story follows the Clade family, a clan of legendary explorers, as they travel deep into an uncharted land of treacherous terrain and fantastical creatures, but disagreements between the family gradually threaten the expedition.
