Recently, a trailer for the comedy romance “Mr. Malcolm’s List” was released. In the preview, a story about men and women in love testing each other and deceiving each other gradually unfolds.
The film’s unique British humor, elegant costumes, and gorgeous background all add to the preview.
The film is based on the novel of the same name by Suzanne Allain and is directed by Emma Holly Jones. And this is Emma Holly Jones’ feature film directorial debut. The cast includes Freida Pinto, Sope Dirisu, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Theo James, Zawe Ashton, Ashley Park and more.
The story of the film takes place in the upper class of the British society. The story of Julia, who comes from high society, is rejected by London’s prime bachelor, Mr Jeremy Malcolm, because she doesn’t fit one of his list of strict requirements for a bride.
Feeling humiliated and ostracized, Julia brings in her friend Selina to help her get revenge on Jeremy Malcolm by making him think she’s found the perfect half and then abandoning him.
The plan seemed to work when Henry also began courting Selina, threatening Julia’s arrangement.
When the clumsy Lord Cassidy intervenes in the four’s complicated relationship, the road to true love becomes bumpy, and Mr. Jeremy Malcolm wonders if he has found the perfect woman.
As planned, the film will hit Northern America theaters on July 1.
