On November 23, the trailer for the movie “Operation Mincemeat” was released, and the intelligence officer starring Colin Firth came up with the idea of “transporting” false information through corpses to deceive the German Nazis.
“Operation Mincemeat” brought the intelligence war that took place before the landing in Sicily during the Second World War on the screen.
In the real incident, British intelligence agencies forged the corpses of British officers who drowned in the sea with secret files to convince the top German army that the Allied forces would land in Greece.
They used this method to cover up their plans to attack Sicily.
