The thriller “The Card Counter” starring Oscar Isaac has released an official trailer. The film has been shortlisted for the main competition of the 78th Venice Film Festival and will be released on September 10th in North America.
Martin Scorsese is the executive producer of “The Card Counter“. Other casts include Tye Sheridan, Willem Dafoe, Tiffany Haddish, etc. Paul Schrader (“First Reformed“) writes and directs.

“The Card Counter” tells that the gambler played by Isaac is also a retired soldier William Tell. So Ri just wants to play cards and leads a life of penance.
Then he met a young man Cirk (played by Sheridan), the two had a common enemy-a colonel Major John Gordo (played by Dafoe).
Cirk wanted to find the Colonel for revenge, and Tell wanted to reform him.
At this time, the two are supported by the mysterious gambling master La Linda (Haddish).
Tell led Cirk to and fro between the casinos until the trio set their sights on winning the World Poker Tournament in Las Vegas.
