The new version of ‘Living’ released a pilot trailer, adapted from Akira Kurosawa’s film of the same name, directed by Oliver Hermanus, with a script by Kazuo Ishiguro and starring Bill Nighy, Aimee Lou Wood, Alex Sharp, Adrian Rawlins, Hubert Burton and others starred.
Set in 1950s Britain, ‘Living’ follows Williams (Bill Nighy), a civil servant for many years who has become a screw in the post-war British bureaucracy. Then he learns that he is terminally ill and begins to think before he dies, looking for some meaning to his gray, monotonous life.
The film has been selected in the non-competition section of the 79th Venice International Film Festival and will be released in the UK on November 11.
