Seven years after the release of “Mad Max: Fury Road”, director George Miller is finally releasing his first trailer for his new film, “Three Thousand Years of Longing.”
The storyline is relatively clear: Tilda Swinton’s female scholar inadvertently invokes the Djinn (Idris Elba) in modern times.
“Three Thousand Years of Longing” at Cannes
“Three Thousand Years of Longing” has been screened out of competition in Cannes this year and opens in Northern America on August 31.
The film is based on the 1994 short story “The Djinn in the Nightingale’s Eye”. According to media reports, the film shows the superb acting skills of the two protagonists who are always the central characters of the screen, no matter what they are doing, you feel like you can watch forever follow them.
